It was a lovely sunny autumn day for the spectators-
slightly too hot for the runners but at 10.30am Mai set off and at 11.07 Laura
and Liz set off. The course takes in some of Birmingham's best sites including
Cadbury World and the lovely Cannon Hill park. The Pershore Road was a tad
windy on the way out but it was nice to have that wind behind us on our way
back into Birmingham. There were loads of different people alongthe way cheering us on which was lovely. We
also saw a few people we knew cheering for us which gave us a much needed boost
as mile 11 is the start of a 200 metre elevation climb to the end of the race.
The last two mile were a huge challenge but the last 400 meters running down
Broad Street with all the people cheering for us really made up for it. Overall
a fantastic day!
Mai finished in 1.44.13. Liz finished in 2.19.14 Laura
finished in 2.19.15.
